Hong Kong fashion designers who run their own brands have great talents but are facing problems to develop their creative designs into the first garment sample for commercialization. So we established the Sample Development Centre for providing an effective design-to-production communication system and service to transform fashion designers’ ideas into a prototype within limited resources and budget.
Sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) (formerly known as Create Hong Kong (CreateHK)) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, this centre aims to:
- Help to make the prototype sample – the 1st stage for developing a fashion collection
- Provide expert pattern services
- Develop specifications for bulk production
- Provide workshops for teaching fashion techniques
- Provide small-batch production service
